I have been working for 1 year at Continental Furniture. I like helping people to decorate their homes since its something essential for the family’s harmony.  It motivates me to know that every day I have different goals at work.  All my customers are very special to me and I respect each one of them. I like spending as much time possible with my kids. I like listening to all type of music, but especially Bachata and Salsa.

I have been working with Continental Furniture for 5 years. I like the environment, my co-workers and the customers. I also like that every day it’s challenging and different. What motivates me is that I’m in control of how much money I make. I spend my free time playing the drums with my band and dancing. I like listening to all types of music, but mostly Banda and Corridos. Just recently, Mr. Tapia and his wife came into the store to look at a living room set. They were taken care of by the Assistant Manager “Alma”. They looked at the living rooms and found the one they liked. Alma offered to write the order so they wouldn’t miss the sale and she explained to them that she was not a sales associate and I was going to get full credit for the sale. She also explained that the item was on backorder and we were only getting a limited amount. My customers smiled and said they understood everything, but they’ll just take a risk of not getting the living room that they liked.  They also asked her not to mention they had been in the store on my day off because they would get in trouble with me. The customers came back on Saturday and I wrote the order for them. It’s just nice to have loyal customers that ask for you and only want to be taken care of by you.

I have been working for 4 years at Continental Furniture. My hobbies are to ride on my bike, listen to Indie Rock music, to go hiking and play the base with my band “La Brecha”. I like everything about my job, but especially interacting with my customers. It makes me feel special when I built a good relation with my customers. I remember when one of my customers invited me to his wedding. I felt special and yes, I did go and it was a cool wedding.

My name is Virginia Alarcon, but all my friends know me as “Vicky”, I have been working for 3 months at Continental Furniture.  I love to dance, skate, and exercise. I like all types of music especially Latin music like merengue, latin pop, cumbia and bachata. At work I’m always the energetic one and the soul of parties. I like to be happy and optimist at all times. As of now, it motivates me to know that in a short amount of time I became the employee of the month.
